Discussion:
Mr. Sorrells recognized three Oak Grove students who have shown exceptional progress in reading: Athena Webb, Ruthie Hill, and Connor Sullivan. He then thanked all the veterans in the audience for their service to our country. Mr. Sorrells presented the book "JoJo! What Happened To Your Hair?", authored and signed by former Tennessee Volunteer/Pittsburgh Steelers punter Craig Colquitt, to MES principal Bonnie Reese to place in her school library.

Rationale:
These three Oak Grove students have shown exceptional progress in reading. Kindergartner Athena Webb is reading on a 2.6 grade level; first grader Ruthie Hill is reading on a 3.2 grade level; and first grader Connor Sullivan is reading on a 3.0 grade level.

3. FMS ACT Rewards Trip Report (Notre Dame)

On October 25-27, several Forrest Middle School students toured Notre Dame University in South Bend, Indiana.

During the Director's Report: Mr. Sorrells thanked Sanford for school supply donations; Williams Community Foundation for donating $500 to fire victims; Nissan for donating a car to SLTC automotive class; and Walmart, McDonald's and Calsonic for their monetary donations to the Westhills Television Network. Mr. Sorrells thanked Teresa Moses and the Maintenance Department staff for cleaning the Central Office gymnasium of surplus and salvage items.
