1. Call to Order
Rationale:
Information concerning the Open Meeting Law, Chapter 84, Article 14 of Nebraska State Statutes, is posted in the meeting room at a location accessible to members of the public and attached to the online agenda.
School Board meetings in Nebraska are meetings held in public, not public meetings. The public comment agenda item is the only opportunity for the public to address the board. Please silence your phones and refrain from texting or using electronics (such as computers) during the meeting; if you must use your phone, please step outside the Board Room. Mr. Bob Schoby, Board President, will call the Board of Education Regular meeting to order.

7.4.1. Blair High School Sparx Dance Team
Rationale:
A letter has been received from Cashell Shonka, Blair High School Dance Team Head Coach, requesting permission for the Blair High Sparx Dance Team to attend two (2) dance competitions during the 2026-2027 school year. The first competition is scheduled for Sunday, December 6, 2026, at UNO Baxter Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. The second competition will take place on Sunday, January 24, 2027, at Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska. Due to the limited number of dance competitions available in the immediate Omaha area, these opportunities would allow the Sparx Dance Team to compete against high-level teams, receive valuable critiques and feedback from judges, and have the opportunity to earn scholarships. |
