I will need to wait and see if and how the Legislature changes instructional hours in the state aid formula. No decision will be made until the end of March or beginning of April.

|
7.1. 2014-15 Option Enrollment Applications
More Information:
We have 7 requests to vote on at this meeting - 4 for Kindergarten, 1 for 6th, 1 for 9th grade and 1 for 12th grade.
Recommended Motion(s):
Motion to approve the 2014-15 option enrollment requests of Sayers Burkey, Alexis Hanseling, Lane Jensen, Cara Klopfenstien, Grace Lenz, Alexis Mach and Boen Schweitzer based on Board Policy 502.02 and Nebraska Statute §79-238. Passed with a motion by Board Member #1 and a second by Board Member #2.

7.2. 2014-15 School Calendar
More Information:
The two drafts are attached. Staff voting was 31 in favor of draft 1 and 17 for draft 2. But it sounds like most staff members are fine with either draft. I still struggle with the December date for starting Christmas break. Only because we have traditionally had several days before Christmas for people to travel or whatever. The NSAA activity moratorium does not begin until December 24th, so our winter activities will most likely be practicing or competing through the 23rd. |
7.3. Teacher Resignation
More Information:
Amanda Fenske has turned in a letter of resignation (attached). Amanda has been with us for one-year as our part-time 5th grade teacher. She has done a wonderful job and will be hard to replace.
Recommended Motion(s):
Motion to accept the resignation of Amanda Fenske effective at the end of the 2014-15 school year and thank her for her year of service. Passed with a motion by Board Member #1 and a second by Board Member #2.
|
