More Information:
Milford is part of the Southeastern Milk Cooperative with Southern Schools, Diller Odell, Fairbury, Tri County, and Wilber. We have been working together for 3 years now. This year they have requested board action on the bids. We only received a bid from Hiland Dairy. Bid prices only increased 2-3 cents this year compared to last year's 10-11 cent increase. We are approving bids on an escalating and de-escalating basis. Meaning our individual costs of items could change monthly based on market pricing. We have come out ahead using this process instead of using a locked-in guaranteed price.
