This agenda contains a list of subjects known at the time of its distribution.  A copy of the agenda reflecting any changes will be available for public inspection during normal business hours in the District Office.  Except for items of an emergency nature, the agenda shall not be altered later than twenty-four hours before the meeting.  The Board reserves the right to alter the order of items, as it deems necessary.

Information concerning the Open Meeting Law, Chapter 84, Article 14 of Nebraska State Statutes, is posted on the bulletin board in the back of the meeting room.

This is the public’s opportunity to speak to items on the agenda. This is also the public’s opportunity to speak to other non-agenda topics concerning the school district - since it is not an agenda item the board cannot discuss or take action on the matter at this time. To be recognized, all participants must complete the Request to Address the Milford Board of Education Form.  The District has established separate complaint procedures for any complaints, including complaints and concerns against individual employees.  As such, the Board requests that this complaint process be followed before discussion with the Board takes place.  Thank you for your participation.

General Fund Items to Point Out:

1. The majority of expenditures are "normal" expenditures for July.
2. $480 to Clarity Scopes.  I only point this one out as they are a new vendor for us and the expenditure was for the cleaning and maintenance of our scopes in the science department.
3. ESU 6 bills were our quarterly expenditures.
4. $2,466 to Harris was for AOD hosting, which is our employee timeclock program.
5. $504 to Rise Vision is for the tech program we use to control and update our digital signage inside our buildings.  This is a new vendor.
6. $3,975 to Striv is our yearly invoice.
7. The General Fund Expenditures to date are $9,924,629.  This is $912,765 or 10.13% over expenditures this time last fiscal year.
8. Currently, 81.52% of the expenditures are for staff salary and benefits, and 18.48% are all other expenditures.
9. After expenditures this month, our cash on hand is at $1,903,669.  We do not expect much revenue this month as state aid payments are finished.  We will have a few grants we will request reimbursement for through NDE.  Our next big revenue will come in September through property taxes.

Special Building Fund for $297,035.12

1. Principal and interest payment on the elementary north addition.
2. We have 3 years remaining on the lease purchase through Farmers and Merchants Bank.  Approximately $870,000 remains on the note.
3. Our current balance $583,717.

1. The current balance is $525,543.

1. 69,996 of the total were for our daily routes - regular education and special education.
2. 38,845 of the total were for athletics and extra-curricular activities.

The Board of Education reserves the right to enter into Closed/Executive Session for 1) the protection of the public interest, or 2) the prevention of needless injury to the reputation of an individual, and/or the individual has not requested a public meeting. When making a motion to enter into Closed/Executive Session, the member making the motion should be as specific as possible as to the reason(s) for executive session.

The Board President will restate the reason for Closed/Executive Session after the motion has been acted on.
