The 8th graders will having an Anne Frank presentation on Friday. Wednesday, March 27th is the ACT and PreACT testing. There will be a presentation Wednesday afterschool for the new evaluation tool for staff.

The middle school has implemented 9th period for any middle school student that has missed turning in an assignment. This is non-negotiable. If they do not attend, they receive ISS the next day. They have had 22-25 students a day after school.

Mr. Tobey presented to the board with the plans for construction/remodel that will begin this spring. A committee of Amy Staples, Pam Holcomb, Tom Osmond and Darren Tobey will be working together to plan for the construction.

Discussion:
Mr. Osmond updated the rest of the board on the negotiations with the teachers for the 2024-2025 school year. Three options were discussed to offer the teachers union. The board's main focus is on the teaching salary, not the coaching salary, although the base salary will collectively raise the extra duty pay.
