Rationale:
Information:
Pac Van - Buying a two classroom used portable is $23,000, plus travel and set up. Buying new runs between $80,000 to $100,000, plus travel and set up. Rental is about $2,000 a month. Dakota Modular - Renting a used portable will run from $1,000 a monthly, $10,600 delivery and set up and $10,600 tear down and removal. Buying used $33,000 bought and delivered and $1,500 for set up. Fire Marshal expectations for portable: Fire alarm system ($1000 est.) Need to view blue prints of portable (HVAC, sq. ft., etc.) ADA accessible exists like we have at the preschool now Janitor closet fire proof City expectations: Building permit Variance if needed Expenses for remodel board office: A lot of unknown cost Architect cost Wall construction and plumbing Kitchen supplies and food delivery (maybe extra cooks) There are many costs that we are not aware of on both projects/sites. Vision of where we want to be is important. No matter what, an increase of tax in our building fund will be needed to add on to the elementary school. I'm hoping this a short time tax and a chance to build on in 2 to 3 years.
