At 7:30 pm, motion to close hearing on proposed 2016-17 budget Passed with a motion by Justin Glanzer and a second by Ken Carpenter.

At 7:39 pm, motion to open hearing on proposed 2016-17 tax request Passed with a motion by Richard Jacobsen and a second by Justin Glanzer.

At 7:40 pm, motion to close hearing on proposed 2016-17 tax request Passed with a motion by Justin Glanzer and a second by Ken Carpenter.

Motion to approve the minutes of the meetings held August 8 and August 24 Passed with a motion by Rusty Rhynalds and a second by Craig Grams.

Motion to approve the property tax levy of 0.729536 and the following resolution: Now be it therefore resolved that (1) the Tax Request for the General Fund should be, and hereby is set at $8,605,763.23 for the 2016-2017 school fiscal year; (2) the Tax Request for the Bond Fund should be, and hereby is set at $1,434,710.84 for the 2016-2017 school fiscal year; and (3) the Tax Request for the Special Building Fund should be, and is hereby set at $282,828.28 for the 2016-2017 school fiscal year Passed with a motion by Craig Grams and a second by Justin Glanzer.

Motion to approve the final reading of the amendments to Policy 5104 Drug & Substance Use & Prevention Passed with a motion by Justin Glanzer and a second by Ken Carpenter.

Motion that the Board of Education of this School District should, and does hereby, ratify the change orders and construction change directives for the new Minden High School building project approved pursuant to the Minden Public Schools -- Board of Education Protocol Re: 2014 Bond Issue Projects - Construction Change Orders and Construction Change Directives (Protocol) listed on PCO #013c attached hereto, having a total cost of $105, 071.56, and further, upon such ratification, hereby renews and confirms the authority of the Superintendent of Schools under the Protocol to approve change orders and construction change directives up to the dollar amounts set forth in the Protocol Passed with a motion by Craig Grams and a second by Justin Glanzer.
