6.C. Affordable Care Act insurance offers
Agenda Item Type:
Action Item
Rationale:
I would like to discuss our ACA compliant plan with the board. When we started in this process the board selected the $4000 deductible plan as the plan we would offer classified staff. It's not a great plan. I would like to discuss changing our offer to the $3500 HSA plan that the certificated staff can select under the dual choice option. At the time of selection we were told we could not offer that plan, new interpretation is we can. It costs the district a little more but is a better plan for the employee.

6.F. School website, notification, mobile app and communication
Agenda Item Type:
Action Item
Rationale:
This has come up before. Apptegy is a program that revamps our school webpage and also provides us with a phone app the makes our web page easily navigated on a phone. Hopefully you have all checked out the phone App that Paxton uses, they say it's great.
For my purposes the notification piece is something to look at. With the portion of their program called Thrillshare we can post to our webpage, app, twitter, and facebook accounts with one click, from our cell phones. We can also send out notifications of no school or event change times or don't drive by the hospital during construction from a cell phone. Currently to send these notices I (or Adam or Stacey) have to be by a computer. Apptegy is tnot he only company we can find who does all of these things in a single place. Typically we set up the users on the school side and anything they want to post or send out only goes out after administrative approval. We (Patrick) are researching other options. |
