1. Call Meeting to Order - The regular meeting of the Maywood Board of Education was called to order by President Russ Gerlach at ______p.m. It was noted that the Opens Meeting Act is posted in the Media Center and that notice of meeting was published in the Frontier County News, Maywood Post Office, Community First Bank, Village Market and the Maywood Public School.

2. Board Member Attendance

3. Community Input - Community patrons are welcome to address the Maywood Public School Board of Education. Patrons who are seeking Board action are reminded that in order for the Board of Education to take action on an item, it must be on the agenda. If not an agenda item, the request will be taken under advisement as to whether or not it will be added to the next or a future regular Board of Education meeting. Patrons are asked to limit their comments to five (5) minutes, and in those cases where a group representing the same request or discussion item is involved, the Board asks that a spokesman from the group be appointed. The Board requests that any concerns or questions dealing with existing policy or procedure be directed through the school administration before being brought before the Board.

6.1. Michael Baker, Heartland Security, will address the Board concerning the issues with the current camera system.

6.2. The Board will discuss the next step in the process of developing Goals with the help of the Nebraska Rural Community Schools Association.

6.3. The Board will discuss the need for additional acoustics in the Lunch Room.

7.1. The Board will accept resignation letters from Mrs. Kendra Burkholder, Mrs. Phyllis Johnson, and Mrs. Tonya Welch.

7.2. The Board will take all necessary action in approving probationary teaching contracts for the 2017-18 school year for Emily Garrison, Kelly Smith, Sara Cox and Ruth Vakoc.

The Board will take all necessary action in approving the following teacher contracts: Probationary Teaching Contracts: Abby Brown, Cameron Sonnenfeld, Erica Spanger, Joe Spangler, and Ben Weyeneth, Tenured Teaching Contracts: Janice Arent, Victoria Armstrong, Patricia Bauer, Cindy Bollish, Kyle Carroll, Mark Heaton, Robyn Reece, Les Reinke, Alicia Shirley, Jill Schaeffer and Kim Stengel.

7.4. The Board will take all necessary action in selecting and approving a bid for the replacement of the entryway doors of the Middle and High School building.

7.5. The Board will take all necessary action in reviewing a bid for repair and maintenance of exterior building surfaces from Karr Tuckpointing.

7.6. The Board will review a bid and take all necessary action for additional corrective work on the security camera system.

7.7. The board will take all necessary action for the repair or replacement of broken playground equipment.

7.8. The Board will take all necessary action in approving a resolution supporting the Principles of Nebraskans United for Property Tax Reform and Education

7.9. The Board will take all necessary action in accepting a bid for rubberized flooring in the weight room.
