1. Opening Procedures

1.1. Call meeting to order
Rationale:
Executive/Closed Session may be necessary during this meeting for either: 1) Protection of the public interest; or, 2) The prevention of needless injury to the reputation of an individual, and if the individual has not requested a public meeting. Recognition of Visitors: The Board of Education encourages citizens to take advantage of the opportunity to address the Board at its regular meetings. Such opportunities will ordinarily be limited to the, “Communications from the Public” section of the meeting. When there are several persons who wish to address the Board at a meeting, the Board President shall have the authority to limit the amount of time provided to each speaker. In compliance with Nebraska statute 84-1412 the Open Meetings Act is posted within the meeting room. |

State Agriscience Fair Results:
Nate Archer, Kailey Otto - Division Winner, State Champion, National Qualifier Taylor Anderson, Brooklyn Ideus - 2nd Place, State Runner Up Ian Alberts, Talisa Buhr - 2nd Place, State Runner Up Jenna Anderson, Adisyn Lempka - 3rd Place Kaitlyn Otto - State FFA Degree The main requirements for the State FFA Degree are a total earnings of over $3,000, a certain number of FFA activity involvement, and a certain number of community service hours. She completed two years of records in the Agriculture Experience Tracker record book, filled out an application that sums up her FFA experience, and completed an interview with district agriculture education instructors in February. Sandy Renken was part of the Teacher Spotlight by the Institute for Holocaust Education. Ms. Renken has taught Facing History at Freeman for several years and is a US Holocaust Memorial Museum Teacher Fellow. She provides amazing experiences for the students and staff at Freeman Public Schools and we are so lucky to have her on our faculty. |

Rationale:
Youth and Adults over the age of 65 are at $35, Adults under age 65 are $55, and Family passes are $125 currently. No change is proposed.

3.5. Consideration and possible action to set student fees for the 2020-21 school year.
Rationale:
Student Fees are set at $50 for JH and $70 for High School.
$15 of Student Fees 7-12 is a Technology Fee. No change is proposed. |
3.6. Consideration and possible action to set substitute teacher rates for the 2020-2021 school year.
Rationale:
Freeman is currently at $135 per day for substitutes, after 10 consecutive days the rate goes to 1/185 of base or $198. I recommend Freeman make no changes.

Rationale:
Policy 3014 provides guidance for all facility usage. No changes are proposed.
