2. Discussion Items
|
||||||||||||
2.1. Discussion of future Career and Technical Education facilities
Rationale:
Potential next steps:
1. Mr. Fakler would take the preliminary drawing/elevations and add details. 2. That final drawing would be sent to three engineers. Each would prepare their drawings based on what Michael sent them: - Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing - Structural - Civil Once the engineers are done, the proposal can be approved by the board and sent out for bids. Michael said that once the project is put on his schedule, it is a 4-month process. He has several projects on his calendar, so if the board approved moving forward in June, the soonest we could build is next summer. If we wanted to do the project in phases (shell first, then add to interior later), we would need to let them know at the beginning of the process. Approximate cost to prepare the proposal is $80-90K. KSB provided construction financing options |

2.2. Discussion of Policy 4030
Rationale:
Freeman will have 12 probationary certificated staff in 2022-23. The Freeman administration is recommending a change to Policy 4030. The change would be to evaluate permanent certificated employees once every two school years.
A certificated administrator, with the exception of the local board of education when it is evaluating the superintendent, will observe and evaluate each probationary certificated employee for a full instructional period once each semester and each permanent certificated employee for a full instructional period once
