7.2. New Business

7.2.1. Consider, discuss and act on Perry Law Firm Policy recommendations.  (Note:  the following are roughly one-half of this year's update).

7.2.1.1. Amend Policies 1120-Tobacco, 5101-Student Discipline and 5104-Drug and Substance Use and Prevention to include the language "electronic nicotine delivery systems" as per LB149 and LB397 which target the use of vaping products by minors.

7.2.1.2. Amend Policy 3130 -Purchasing.  This amendment exempts purchasing requirements when purchasing items through the Nebraska Department of Administrative Services.  These products are already competitively bid.  

7.2.1.3. Amend language in Policy 3131-Procurement Plan, School Food Authorities to comply with Federal purchasing requirements.

7.2.1.4. Add a new policy, 4030-Wage information regarding wage information sharing and anti-retaliation as per LB217

7.2.1.5. Amend Policy 6211-State Assessments to update language, specifically NeSA to NSCAS

7.2.1.6. Amend Policy 6410-Combined District and School Title 1 Parental Engagement policy.  This action essentially removes the old Perry Law Firm policy and adds the State (NDE) created policy.  This seems to be the only policy that will be approved during Title 1 Audits by NDE.

7.2.2. Consider, discuss and act on classified wage proposal and if adopted the changes to Policy 4250
