9.D.  Executive session to conduct a review of the record of an expulsion hearing based upon the request of the student/parent who has filed an appeal with the board.  The legal authority for closing this portion of the meeting is the Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act and NDCC 44-04-17.1 subdivision 3
