First Reading of NASB Policy Updates for Summer 2022
Rationale:
Jim Luebbe has provided the Summer 2022 update in response to the recent legislative session. Please see the attached emails and policies to see Jim's explanation. The policy revisions or adoptions center around the budget adoption process, public comment, seizure safety, and monetary limits related to bids and architects/engineers. The policy on seizure safety is new, but the rest are updates to existing policies.

Approval of 2022-23 Bus Routes
Rationale:
Annually, the Board approves the bus routes for the district. Last year, the Johnstown pick-up points were at the church in Johnstown as well as highway stops at Moon Lake Road and Rauscher Ave. The Long Pine route pick-up point is the Palace in Long Pine.
The only recommended change for 2022-23 is to eliminate the highway stop at Moon Lake Road. |

Approval of Student-Parent and Teacher Handbooks
Rationale:
The administrative team has worked to revise all handbooks in preparation for the 2022-23 school year. The Student-Parent Handbooks were provided for review at the June board meeting. There are no significant changes to the Teacher Handbooks, only necessary annual updates.

Coach Bus Graphics
Rationale:
There is interest in putting school graphics/lettering on our leased coach bus. The cost ranges from $1500 to $7000 depending on the option. As I have spoken with various board members, we have a difference in opinion on what to do with this situation. I felt it best to bring this to the board so we are all on the same page to move forward or not.
