Emergency Operations Plan
Rationale:
A team of district and community partners has been working since last summer to update the district's Emergency Operations Plan. Members of the team will present the plan and update the board on this process. Further, we will ask the Board to approve the ongoing working document that reflects collaborative efforts between the school and local emergency personnel.
|
South Side Concrete (Project 4)
Rationale:
This is the south sidewalk area that was part of the projects plan in the summer or 2021. Benny Burdick completed projects 1-3. Project 4 was left to be completed later.
Bob Walton honored his bid from summer 2021 of $12,949.00. During the project, we ran into additional curb work as well as they ran into mud and had to haul significant dirt in one area of the sidewalk. This added another $2776 to the bill for a total of $15,032.00. |
NCDC Invoice
Rationale:
Annually, NCDC invoices the district for $10,000. This is part of the routine in currently in place each year to support NCDC.
|
2nd Reading and Approval of NASB Board Policy Updates
Rationale:
Jim Luebbe has provided the Summer 2022 update in response to the recent legislative session. Please see the attached emails and policies to see Jim's explanation. The policy revisions or adoptions center around the budget adoption process, public comment, seizure safety, and monetary limits related to bids and architects/engineers. The policy on seizure safety is new, but the rest are updates to existing policies.

Transfer of General Funds to Depreciation
Rationale:
The Board is allowed the ability to transfer funds from the General Fund to the Depreciation fund in order to strategically plan for future projects, costs, etc., related to repair and replacement of district property or items. This is typically done in August at the end of the budget cycle. Last year, we transferred $150,000 and ear-marked those funds for roofing and concrete.
