Action Items
|
Adoption of the 2022-23 School District Budget
Rationale:
School Boards are required to take formal action to adopt the School District Budget. Once the budget hearing is held, a formal "action item" is entertained with the board having the ability to adopt the budget as published; make changes to the budget, and vote to adopt; or vote to postpone the motion to adopt for further consideration.
All information regarding the 2022-23 budget was provided during the Budget Hearing. Options for the budget and an opportunity for public input was also provided during the August 25, 2022, Board Budget Retreat.

Approval of the 2022-23 Property Tax Resolution
Rationale:
School Boards are required to take formal action to approve the Property Tax Request for each budget cycle. Once the tax request hearing is held and the proposed budget adopted, a formal resolution is voted on by the board to set the final tax request.
All information related to the property tax request was provided during the hearing to set the final tax request for 2022-23. Further, information regarding the 2022-23 tax request was provided during the August 25, 2022, Budget Retreat, allowing the public an opportunity for input and comment.

Enrollment Option Request
Rationale:
In the fall of 2019, we approved an enrollment option request for Sidon Brock to attend ACS from Rock County. Since that time, Sidon's residence has changed to Long Pine. Due to the change in the resident school district, the ability to option renews. The request is for Sidon to option to Keya Paha County.

Surplus of District Property/Equipment
Rationale:
Throughout this summer, the custodial staff has been cleaning out storage areas, etc. There are a number of items such as old chairs, tables, file cabinets, desks, etc., that are no longer in use for the district. In addition, the AD's maintain a list of items related to athletics and activities that are to be surplused throughout the year.
The plan would be to offer these items to the public through garage sales, silent auctions, Facebook sale pages, etc., as deemed necessary by the administration. We are asking for the Board's permission to allow us to offer these items to the public as appropriate before disposal. |
Adjourn
Rationale:
The Curriculum and Assessment Retreat, followed by the next regular meeting of the Board is scheduled for October 10, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. in the District Office. Current agendas will be available for public inspection in the office of the superintendent.
