ACS Board Policy Review
Rationale:
The Board is committed to the ongoing review and maintenance of Board Policy. Policies will be provided to the Policy Committee in advance and then to the entire Board for review/approval on a regular basis.
The policies in this month's review are the first 13 policies in the 300s (administration) section. The policies presented are sufficient and remain effectively up to date. A simple review is sufficient unless the Board proposes changes to the policies presented. As per Board Policy, a review of policy may be conducted by one reading of the Board. If changes are made, the current Board Policy requires 2 readings of the Board prior to the adoption of changes.

Approve the 2024-2025 School Year Calendar
Rationale:
The draft of the school calendar was provided to the Board at the February regular meeting. This represents the final draft for approval.
The calendar should be approved as a "final working draft" as the calendar is subject to change should circumstances merit change during the school year.

Approve "myPerspectives!" 9-12 Resources Purchase
Rationale:
myPerspectives is the grades 9-12 reading / language arts set of resources recommended by the 9-12 ELA group. This would compliment our current K-8 program and would represent one of our final purchases with ESSER III ARP funds.

Approve Interactive Panels for Classrooms (ESSER III)
Rationale:
Along with the 9-12 reading and ELA resources, these interactive panels along with our KSB digital citizenship presentation will mark the end of our ESSER III funding.
We have maintained a list of teachers and equipment needs in their classrooms. These panels will go to the next teachers in line to have their display equipment replaced in their classrooms. Two of these panels are to be purchased with sped funding as they are for sped classrooms. The total that will be for ESSER III reimbursement will be $21,559.22 and $7,186.41 for Sped.
