Approval of Roofing Replacement and Repair - Guarantee Roofing
Rationale:
We have recently discovered issues with our roof due to damage incurred from weather. Matt Fisher (Gurantee Roofing) has been working with Maurice Anderson (ALICAP adjuster) on our situation. They are working to get us specific numbers on this project, but it should be mostly covered by insurance and warranty.
Time is of the essence and I apologize for the rush. Matt will get us more information in time for our Board meeting Monday. In addition, Matt will be in person to explain. We are hurrying so that we can get this through ALICAP and Matt and his crew can take care of us for winter in prep for roofing work summer 2026. They will do work in November to secure problem areas so we do not have issues this winter and make full repair this summer. |
Used SUV/vehicle Purchase
Rationale:
In repsonse to the push from NDE and ALICAP, it would be wise to start moving forward on replacing our 12 passenger vans.
Ainsworth Motors has provided a proposal/quote to be considered. The Board Transportation, Buildings, and Grounds committee recommended I bring quotes to start with the purchase of 1 used SUV. Both Ainsworth Motors and 1st Class Auto were approached to provide quotes. It is recommended we use depreciation funds, as intended, for this purchase.

Multicultural Education Plan and Status Update
Rationale:
Our policy, 604.04, calls for the periodic review of the multicultural education plan and program. We view, approve, and recognize the status of our statement of purpose and philosophy each year when the student-parent handbook is reviewed and approved by the board.
As we work on items for our Rule 10 compliance visit, it has been a few years since the plan was review and updated. Attached you will see the former plan. The new plan is attached that reflects current requirements of rule 10 for multicultural education.

ACS Policy Review (612.06 - 612.20)
Rationale:
The Board is committed to the ongoing review and maintenance of Board Policy. Policies will be provided to the Policy Committee in advance and then to the entire Board for review/approval on a regular basis.
*All Board Policies are available to the public through the Sparq Public Meetings Access site: https://meeting.sparqdata.com/Public/Organization/415 *The link to all policies is provided through the school district website. https://www.ainsworthschools.org/page/schoolboard The policies in this month's review are 15 policies (612.06 through 612.20) in the 600s Instruction section. This set of policies relates to Special Education, is up to date, and no changes are recommended unless the Board prefers to hold any out for discussion and further revision. A simple review should take care of this month's policies. The Board has the option to pull any policy for further review and/or revision if needed. |
Adjourn
Rationale:
The Board will hold a student data and curriculum retreat at 6:00 pm followed by the next regular meeting of the Board on November 10, 2025 in the District Office. Current agendas will be available for public inspection in the office of the superintendent.
