November 11, 2024 at 7:00 PM - Regular Board of Education Meeting

Rationale:  One of our freshman choir students (Jade N.) auditioned for, and was awarded, the opportunity to sing the National Anthem on the Thursday, February 20th date of State Wrestling.  This is quite an honor for Jade, Ms. Roberts, and the school!  I have asked Jade and Ms. Roberts to attend the meeting to talk a bit about the process of auditioning, and so we could congratulate them.

Rationale:  (Please complete the sign-in sheet prior to the meeting.  A time limit of five minutes per individual is allowed and not more than twenty minutes per specific topic unless a majority of the Board Members present vote to extend the time limit.  No action will be taken on subjects that are not on the agenda.  No complaints shall orally be initiated against individual district employees or instructional materials used in the district.)

Rationale:  October Highlights

 

• #110 Athletic - Multiple events were held at NBC during October so a large deposit was made for gate fees.
• #121 Unified Bowling - Received two grants from the Special Olympics.
• #370 SOS - The home events brought in money for the concession stand as well. Multiple groups use concession stands as a great way to earn money.
• #713 Foundation - We settled up with the FACF account in October.

Rationale:  As was discussed in the last board meeting, Gabby and Summer will be splitting the duties of tech coordinator, along with retaining some of their current duties.  They have begun working on IT certifications specific to our district, so they can obtain the knowledge they need to do the job at a high level.
