November Highlights
?#720 Annual - Students have been taking advantage of purchasing their yearbooks early at the Middle/High School. Yearbooks are purchased in the fall and delivered to students the first few weeks of the new school year. ?#333 One Acts/Drama Club - Students have put on some wonderful performances of "Queens". T-shirts were purchased for members of One Acts and the season will wrap up in the next few weeks. ?#781 EHA - EHA is an opportunity for members to work on their health both mentally and physically through challenges during the year. Each member received a check in the amount of $55.00 that was funded by an EHA Wellness Grant for participating in the wellness program. General Activity Accounts Information The Activities Account is how all the clubs, teams and organizations keep track of money used throughout the year. You will also see that the scholarship CDs are kept track with this fund because we write the scholarship checks out of account #900. That money is transferred over once or twice a year to balance the CD with the scholarships given.
The Athletics #110 account is where we pay for all activities such as refs, state fees, etc., which is why it is our largest account. Every athletic team has two accounts for the coach to be in charge of. First, is the regular account (example: #116 Boys Basketball) that is the money that the board distributes to the activities. That account is for any item that the school will keep, for example; uniforms, balls, or equipment. The other account is their club account (example: #395 Boys Basketball Club). The club account is used for anything the students get to keep and any money that they fundraise or get from concession stands goes in there. If coaches have each player have individual accounts within the club, the coach will keep track of that on their own. The NBC Foundation Account (#713) is balanced with their account at the Fremont Area Community Foundation twice a year. Scholarships and grant receipts are paid from our activities account and then reimbursed in the early spring and fall. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions over the Activities Account.
