I.1. New Main Server
Rationale:
Our primary server, now six years old, is reaching the end of its operational lifecycle and poses a critical risk to our organization. This server hosts essential infrastructure services—Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Hyper-V—that are fundamental to network operations. At this age, hardware failure becomes increasingly probable, and any outage would result in complete network unavailability, disabling user authentication, connectivity, and virtual operations organization-wide. Investing in a new server now prevents potential emergency situations, maintains business continuity, and ensures we have current vendor support and warranty coverage. Delaying this upgrade unnecessarily exposes us to significant operational and financial risk.
