August 3, 2022 at 9:00 AM - Rule 10 Safety Committee Meeting

1. Call to order, recognize committee members, introductions.

2. Review of relevant policies. Policies were briefly reviewed.

3. Questions/concerns regarding building safety plans. None reported.

4. Specific topics:

4.1. Incident command. Will normally be the central office where communications personnel, central administration, and bilingual staff are located.

4.2. Communications. Types of communications were discussed for various scenarios. New intercom systems were ordered for two buildings and await installation by the contractor before the start of school.

4.3. Secure doors. Classroom doors were recommended to be locked and closed during instructional time. Single entry points were recommended for all school buildings.

4.4. Practice SRP protocols in buildings. Various SRP protocols will be reviewed and practiced at the beginning of the school year.

4.5. Panic buttons - We are waiting on a proposal from a contractor.

4.6. Additional cameras - proposals are being collected and will be reviewed.
