April 12, 2021 at 7:00 PM - April Regular Meeting

1. Call Meeting to Order-Acknowledge Open Meetings Law and Public Notice. Notice of the meeting was published in the April 8, 2021 Plattsmouth Journal and posted in the display case outside the administration center, at the Plattsmouth location of the U.S. Postal Service, and on the district website at www.pcsd.org. 

2. Roll Call: Barr, Fuller, Glup, Harvey, Muller, Siemonsma, Tesarek-Parsons, Wehrbein, Winters

3. Public Forum: Reception of Delegates-A time limit of three minutes will be set for individual speakers on a given topic. A total time limit of thirty minutes will be set for all speakers on a given topic, with an effort to provide equal time for pros, cons, and neutral opinions.

4. Special Recognition: Hailey Montes-Stanton signed a letter of intent to continue her academic and softball careers at Marshalltown Community College in Marshalltown, IA.

5. Special Recognition: Rylee Hellbusch signed a letter of intent to continue her academic and volleyball careers at Peru State College in Peru, NE.

6. Special Recognition: Kaleb Wooten signed a letter of intent to continue his academic and cross country careers at Bellevue University in Bellevue, NE.

7. Special Recognition: Tyler Heim was the top prize winner at the 2021 Cookin' at the Classic Culinary Competition for his Italian meatballs in the Prepared Appetizer Event.

8. Special Recognition: Hayden Stromsodt signed a letter of intent to continue his academic and basketball careers at Peru State College in Peru, NE.

9. Special Recognition: Our student-athletes earned recognition in the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) Winter 2020-2021 Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association (NCPA) Academic All-State Awards: Boys Basketball-Sam Campin and Jude Wehrbein, Girls Basketball-Rylee Hellbusch and Jessica Meisinger, and Wrestling-Mathew Zitek.

10. Special Recognition: Our students earned recognition at the 2021 Nebraska Press Association's (NPA) Nebraska Press Women High School Communications Contest. Yearbook Layout: 1st place - Elliot Block (fall divider), 2nd place - Nataliya Roby (golf), Honorable Mention - McKinnley Warner (volleyball), Aleea Stanford (marching band), Grace VandenBurgh (DevilMania), Josie Knust & Emma Field (football), Kassidy Fisk & Elliot Block (softball). 11. Special Recognition: Several of our students earned recognition at the virtual Destination Imagination (DI) State Finals. Plattsmouth Inventors of PHS (Jaden Horner, Cadence Fulfs, Araya Grotelueschen, and Alanna Bain) earned 1st place (and qualified for Globals) in Improv. with "Case Closed." T.O.W.A.L.M.F.T.T.T.O. (the ones with a little more free time than the others) of PHS (Alyssa Carney, Nataliya Roby, and Carlee Petereit) earned 2nd place with "In Theory." The Disguised Blessings from PCMS (Finnley Henrichs, Brianna Carney, Elizabeth Sanchez, and Kaelyn Williams) earned 1st place (and qualified for Globals) in Fine Arts with "Epic Remix." DI-5 Gravity of PCMS (Noah Wooten, Clair McKnight, Annabelle Sorenson, Maggie Vick, and Nathan Decker) earned 1st place (and qualified for Globals) with "In Theory."
