8.b. Selecting Option 1 or Option 2 in Policy 2002.
Rationale:
Option 1: If the board is split between two members after 10 votes, no votes occur after 10 motions that fail for lack of a second, or a member does not volunteer to serve as an officer, each member will serve a 6-month term. The initial term will be determined by a coin flip.
Option 2: If the board is split between two members, the officer will be determined by a coin flip. The winning member will be the officer for the upcoming year, unless the position changes by action of the board.

8.c. Revise Policy 2008
Rationale:
In section 2 of Policy 2008 labeled "Notice", the first two paragraphs, there are revisions to comply with the Open Meetings Act, and KSB's recommendations. In paragraph three, the name of the "newspaper of general circulation"needs to have the "Courier-Times" added to it.
Recommended Motion(s):
Move to revise Policy 2008, adding The Courier-Times, Omaha World Herald, North Platte Telegraph and the North Platte Bulletin as the newspapers of general circulation in the district passed with a motion by Board Member #1 and a second by Board Member #2.
