6.a. Elementary Principal Report
Rationale:
May Elementary Board ReportThe elementary has stayed busy with end-of-the-year activities and events. The Spring Concert was held on April 28th and was well attended by families and community members. Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening successful. A special thank you goes to Mrs. Patrick for putting in the extra time and effort to make the concert happen. Kindergarten Graduation was another highlight of the month. It has been exciting watching our youngest Sailors grow both academically and socially throughout the school year. Our AR End-of-the-Year Party was held on May 11th. Students who met their AR goals in all four quarters were rewarded with an afternoon trip to Wild Bill’s Fun Center in North Platte. Students who met 3 out of 4 quarterly goals attended a celebration at Anchor Park. We are proud of the effort our students have shown throughout the year and the growth they have made as readers. Track and Field Day was held today. It was fun watching all the students compete throughout the day. The students worked hard, showed great sportsmanship, and remained well-behaved throughout a long day of nonstop events. Track and Field Day continues to be a great tradition and a fun way to finish the school year for both students and staff. On a personal note, I would like to thank Mr. Webster and Mrs. McConnell for their guidance and support this year. It has been valuable to be able to work down the hall, have discussions, and bounce ideas off one another when new situations arise. I would also like to thank the staff, students, parents, Board of Education, and community for the support during my first year as elementary principal. It has been a fun, rewarding, and exciting year, and I look forward to running it back again next year.
