Rationale:
On March 21, 2016, the Bellevue Board of Education appointed Ray and Associates, Inc. to conduct a nationwide superintendent of schools search. Ray and Associates, Inc. worked with the Board, staff, students, and community members to develop traits of a superintendent. The Board worked to develop materials and a timeline for the process. The application deadline was April 20, 2016. On April 27, 2016 the Board met in Executive Session to select finalists. On May 4, 2016 the Board conducted interviews in Open Session. On May 5, 2016 Dr. Jeff Rippe was selected Superintendent of Schools beginning July 1, 2016, pending contract negotiations.
