C.2. Bond Counsel (903.04P)
Speaker(s):  Jeff Rippe
Agenda Item Type:  Action Item
Rationale:

For work being done by the Facilities Master Plan Steering Committee, information about possible alternative financing options is needed.  For this reason, BPS needs to select Bond Counsel with experience in school district financing options.  Although the term used is Bond Counsel, the firm can provide information about financing options other than bonds.  An RFQ was sent out and proposals were received from Baird Holm, Gilmore & Bell and Kutak Rock. The administration reviewed the proposals and contacted references.  There is no cost for these services until such time as the Board decides to use an available financing option.

Administrative Recommendation: The administration recommends Kutak Rock be selected as Bond Counsel for Bellevue Public Schools.

Administrative Recommendation: Approve a resolution to renew our $5 million line of credit with Great Western Bank.
