BUDGET HEARING:
It is 6:30 p.m. on September 10, 2009 and I now convene this Public Hearing on the Fiscal Year 2009-2010 Budget of the Grand Island Public Schools. Notice of this hearing has been advertised in the Grand Island Independent, which is the District’s designated method of giving notice of public hearings. If anyone in attendance is interested in addressing our board, you are welcome to do so. We simply request that you complete the appropriate form so that you may be recognized.

2. PUBLIC HEARING ON THE 2009-2010 BUDGET

Rationale:
This hearing is held for the purpose of hearing support, opposition, criticism, suggestions or observations of taxpayers relating to the proposed 2009 – 2010 budget and to consider amendments relative thereto. The Director of Business will review the proposed 2009 – 2010 budget. The public hearing will be for the General, Depreciation, Employee Benefit, Contingency, Activities, Lunch, Bond, Special Building, Capital Improvement, Cooperative, and Student Fee Funds.

Patrons desiring to address the Board concerning the proposed 2009 – 2010 budget will be given an opportunity to speak; President of the Board will assign a time limit for each presenter.
