3.1. Discuss, consider and approve resignations
Rationale:
The following resignations were received after our April 30th deadline. However, suitable replacements have bee hired for these positions. Therefore, I am recommending that you accept these resignations: Gregory Johnston--English at Norfolk Junior High, replaced by Joshua Clark Lee Irvine--AFS Instructor, replaced by Brandy Held
Recommended Motion(s):
Motion to approve the resignations, as presented passed with a motion by Board Member #1 and a second by Board Member #2.

3.2. Discuss, consider, and approve Disaster Declaration
Rationale:
The long term repairs to the main electrical gears and panels at the High School will most likely cost anywhere between $175,000 to $250,000. Because of this estimated cost, our normal requirements which follow state and board policy with bidding this expenditure come into place. But because of the need to keep this project moving forward as quickly as possible, and to get the needed equipment ordered to meet the demands of state and local code officials, a Disaster Declaration is being issued by the city and county. This declaration, if approved by the BOE, will allow our district to immediately proceed in ordering the needed equipment and engage in a contract for installation of this equipment. This would still be done with oversight of an electrical engineer which would be Kucirek Engineering. I am recommending to the Board of Education to recognize both the city and county declaration by approving the document attached (A-1) in order to allow the district to proceed legally with this project and not use the public bidding process. Explanation that allows this in state statute is also attached (A-2, A-3).
Recommended Motion(s):
Motion to approve Disaster Declaration passed with a motion by Board Member #1 and a second by Board Member #2.
