Rationale:  The Norfolk Public School District's board of education meeting is called to order.
 

Rationale:  If any board member is absent, there will need to be a  motion to excuse the absence.

Rationale:  This is a legal meeting of the board of education, as advertised by the means specified in board policy. A complete copy of the Open Meetings Act is posted in the board room for your review. A copy of the agenda is available at the desk of the recording secretary.

• Currently a substitute teacher for NPS

• Currently a student teacher at the Norfolk Middle School, here in Norfolk, Nebraska.

  Tara Brtek--2019-2020 - Washington Elementary- Guidance Counselor (.8 FTE)

• Master of Arts in Counseling from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.
• Currently a Media Paraprofessional for the Norfolk Public Schools, here in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Cheri Walnofer--2019-2020 - Bel Air Elementary & Lincoln Montessori- Reading & Physical Education Teacher

•  Master of Science in Instructional Leadership/Reading Specialist PK-12 from Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska.
• Currently a Title I Teacher for Stanton Community Schools, in Stanton, Nebraska.

  Erin Bennett--2019-2020 - Norfolk Senior High- Social Studies Teacher

• Bachelor of Arts in Social Science, grades 7-12, from the University of Nebraska in Kearney, Nebraska.
• Currently Psychology and World History Teacher for Grand Island Public Schools in Grand Island, Nebraska.

  Jordan Nelson--2019-2020 - Norfolk Senior High- Special Education Teacher ( L.I.F.E. )

• Bachelor of Arts in Special Education, grades K-12, from York College in York, Nebraska.
• Currently a Special Education Paraprofessional for the Seward Elementary in Seward, Nebraska.

Kaleb Kreikemeier--2019-2020 - Norfolk Junior High - Digital Citizenship & Technology

• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska.
• Completing the Transitional Certification Program required by the Department of Education, through the University of Nebraska in Kearney, Nebraska in order to obtain proper certification.
• Currently Coordinator of Admission Services for Wayne State College, in Wayne, Nebraska.

Rationale:  The next regular meeting of the Board of Education will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019. The Study Session will begin at 5:30 and will be followed by the Business Meeting at 6:30. All components of these meetings will be held at the NPS Central Administration Offices and will be open to the public unless an Executive Session is needed in order to protect the interest of the district or the reputation of an individual.
