April School Board Meeting: Review agenda items.
APL Workshop: Scheduled for 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM on Tuesday-Wednesday, April 26th-27th. Total of 140 participants. This workshop is for teachers and administrators.
Summer School Staff/Programs: Update on summer school staffing. Contracts to be approved at the April school board meeting. Student sign-up to begin now.
Board Committee Meetings: Americanism, Policy, Curriculum/Planning, etc... are scheduled for Monday, April 4th at 1:00 and Bldgs/Grnds/Transportation/Finance at 5:00 PM
Support Staff Meetings: Maintenance - Wednesday, Food Service Thursday, and Support Staff (Para-Educators and Administrative Assistants) Friday.
NeSA Testing: Update on NeSA testing.
Fred Arnold Track Meet and Professional Development Plans: The Fred Arnold Track Meet is scheduled for Thursday, April 21st. Thursday, all staff must be assigned to work the track meet, participate in the K-5 Writing workshop, or attend NETA. Friday is scheduled as a non-contract day.
2016-17 Program and Staffing changes: Update on 2016-17 programs and staffing changes.
2016-17 Handbook Changes: Begin working with your staff on handbook updates and changes for the 2016-17 school year. These must be ready for board approval in June. Any changes to your handbook to coincide with changes from this legislative session or new policy adoption may also happen in June, due to the 60 day session.
Leadership Blueprint: Rose Jones, Flippin Group, will be here on Wednesday morning to visit with the elementary principals and visit about the Leadership Blueprint scheduled for May 25-26.
New Hire Recommendations: We will begin reviewing external candidates for the middle school assistant principal position this week. Where are we with the other teacher vacancies and staff reassignments. I would like to make sure we have the reassignments finalized by Monday, April 4th for the board committees to review.
