I. Discussion Items
Rationale: 

1.  Book Review: "The Advantage"  Pages 48-64:  Mr. Grammer

2.  Bond Update: The board of education met last night to approve the committee's recommendation on Construction Manager at Risk.  The board interviewed 3 companies last Friday and has selected Hausmann.  The next step in the process is to finalize their contract for approval at the February board meeting.

3.   OCR  Review:  2017-18 Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC), the Advance Website (AWS) is OPEN!  Please work with Kim Powell on completing this document.

4.  2019-20 Calendar Discussion:  I met with the SEA on January 21st.  They will have their calendar recommendations finalized on February 22nd.

5.  2018-19 Teacher/Program Needs:  Staffing needs for 2019-20 will need to be completed and submitted to me by February 1st.  Please focus on your teacher needs at this time.  We will address support staff needs by March 1st.

6.  Requisitions:  Textbook cycle and requisitions for 2019-20 are open.  Teachers will need to requisition for their present positions.  The COOP purchase catalog opens on line on 2/18/2019.  Coop purchase is due April 1st.  Regular requisitions due May 1st.

7.  Thoughtexchange:  Review staff input on thoughtexchange.  Make sure you go on to the system this week and put your commitment in the system and rate other staff input.   Below are the two questions for the next two weeks.

8.  Principals/Director Salary Considerations:  The board negotiations team met last night at 5:30 prior to the special meeting at 6:30 PM.  Only item on the board agenda is to accept the construction Manager at risk recommendation from the board selection committee.  No need to attend the meeting.

9. Crisis Response:  Thank you and your staff for the way you managed the crisis response in your building.  Each situation is different and I appreciate your willingness to work over the weekend to make sure we were ready to meet with staff and students on Monday morning.  I will meet with your building reps on Friday morning to review our response.
