Rationale: 

    The City Council has posted a copy of the Open Meetings Act, Laws of the State of Nebraska, in the back of the council chambers.  Additional copies are available to read, if anyone wishes one during this meeting, please advise. 
    As each agenda item is considered, if there are any questions concerning the agenda item please advise.  The City Council may consider items listed on the agenda in random order.
    The City Council has assisted listening devices available, if needed please advise.

Rationale: 

    Attendance of Council members will be recorded to determine the presence of a quorum for official actions.

Rationale: 

    No action can be taken by the council on matters presented under this title except to answer any question posted and/or to refer the matter for further action.  Testimony may be limited to 3 minutes per person.  Please do not repeat testimony that has already be heard.

Rationale: 

    The council may take action to hear testimony in favor of  or in opposition to, discuss/limit  discussion and take action to approve or disapprove any matter presented under this title.

Rationale:  To hear testimony in favor of, in opposition to and to answer questions in relation to a proposed financial assistance from USDA Rural Development to construct a new wastewater treatment plant.  The financial assistance will be a 2.75% Loan  for $6,998,000 and a Grant of $1,668,900.

Rationale:  To hear testimony in favor of, in opposition to and to answer questions in relation to a proposed special exception use requested by College Heights Country Club to allow construction of a cart storage shed on property adjacent to the CHCC and Lots 1 & 2 of Darrington’s First Addition, Crete, Nebraska, zoned R-1.

Rationale:  To hear testimony in favor of, in opposition to and to answer questions in relation to a proposed special exception use requested by Miguel Perez to allow full time church activities in a commercially zoned district at 920 West 11th Street and 1141 Unona Avenue.

Rationale:  A request to discuss a possible special exception to operate a church on property zoned commercial.

Rationale:  The Crete FOP would like permission to occupy some streets for a fun run

Rationale:  The TJ Sokol group would like to close some streets and hold a fun run at Tuxedo Park during the Halloween Festival.

Rationale:  The Economic Development Citizen Advisory Board has reviewed the following applications for financial assistance from the economic development plan fund.

Rationale:  The Chamber of Commerce has asked that the City co-sponsor the 4th of July display.  The chamber has raised all the funds necessary.

Rationale:  The Cemetery Board received bids for the prairie hay on the unoccupied portions of the Blue Valley Cemetery Property

Rationale:  The Mayor would like to appoint Brian Stork to the Police Employee Pension Committee in place of Sally Tyma.

Rationale:  An agreement to allow City of Crete Red Cross certified instructors to teach Red Cross swimming lessons

Rationale:  The Fire Department has reviewed applications to serve as volunteer fire and rescue personnel and recommend approval of Daniel Nolan and Bernardino Rodriguez

Rationale:  The Public Safety Committee has met and reviewed specifications for a new ambulance

Rationale: 

    The Council may take action to hear testimony in favor of or opposition to, discuss/limit discussion and take action to approve or disapprove any matter presented under this title. The Council may take action to waive the statutory rule requiring reading on three separate dates on any ordinance being considered. The Council may take action to pass and approve any matter presented under this title.

Rationale:  An ordinance amending the animal regulations in City Code

Rationale:  A resolution declaring 1999 Ford McCoy Ambulance S/N 1FDXE40F6XHA88667 as surplus equipment as reviewed by the Public Safety Committee

Rationale: 

    Reports may be given by Department Heads, Committees and Council members concerning current operations of the City. Questions may be asked and answered. No action can be taken by the Council on matters presented under this title except to answer any question posed and to refer the matter for further action.

Rationale: 

    Council will consider approval of the following items. Explanation may occur for each item and the council may approve and or amend and approve the items listed.

Rationale: 

    The city council will review the above matters and take such actions as they deem appropriate. The city council may enter into closed session to discuss any matter on this agenda when it is determined by the council that it is clearly necessary for protection of the public interest or the prevention of needless injury to the reputation of an individual and if such and individual has not requested a public meeting, or as otherwise allowed by law. Any closed session shall be limited to the subject matter for which the closed session was called. If the motion to close passes, then the presiding officer immediately prior to the closed session shall restate on the record the limitation of the subject matter of the closed session.
