Rationale: 

The City Council has posted a copy of the Open Meetings Act, Laws of the State of Nebraska, in the back of the council chambers.  Additional copies are available to read, if anyone wishes one during this meeting, please advise. As each agenda item is considered, if there are any questions concerning the agenda item please advise.  The City Council may consider items listed on the agenda in random order. The City Council has assisted listening devices available, if needed please advise. Please stand and Pledge Allegiance to the Flag.

Rationale: 

Attendance of Council members will be recorded to determine the presence of a quorum for official actions.

Rationale: 

No action can be taken by the council on matters presented under this title except to answer any question posed and/or to refer the matter for further action.  Testimony may be limited to 3 minutes per person.  Please do not repeat testimony that has already be heard.

Rationale: 

The council may take action to hear testimony in favor of  or in opposition to, discuss/limit  discussion and take action to approve or disapprove any matter presented under this title.

Rationale:  A public hearing for comments in favor of and/or in opposition to, and consider applications for, private ownership and operation of an off street parking facility within the Parking Overlay District of the City

Rationale:  Designation of a truck route and signage through Crete.

Rationale:  Equipment includes maker, storage and plumbing, 1800 gallon brine tank with speed sensor and freight, and four hour training session on how to produce brine.
 

Rationale:  Quotes for tractor, loader, and grading scraper, etc. totaling $35,750.00

Rationale:  Bid Tabulation from JEO for water well test hole and Sargent Drilling Agreement for test hold drilling.

Rationale:  Franchise Agreement between the City of Crete and Windstream Nebraska, Inc. for construction and operation of a cable system.

Rationale:  Last year Waste Connections did not service the 6 major holidays.  This year they will be servicing on Memorial day, Independence day and Labor Day.  The three holiday’s that will not be serviced are Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day.   On the three holidays not serviced the pick up schedule will be pushed by one day.   For example Thanksgiving Day always fall on a Thursday so the only days that will push will be: Thursday route days will be on Friday and Friday and Saturday routes will be on Saturday.  Christmas falls on a Tuesday so the week will be pushed by one day from Tuesday on. 

Rationale:  4-Star Pallet is requesting no parking signs in front of their business in order to control semi-truck parking.

Rationale:  Agreement between City of Crete and Zelle for general personnel recruiting and referral services.

Rationale:  The Personnel Committee has considered an amendment to the Employee Rules and Regulations regarding an awards program

Rationale:  The Personnel Committee has considered an amendment to the Employee Rules and Regulations regarding accident leave

Rationale:  The Personnel Committee has considered an amendment to the Employee Rules and Regulations regarding the accrual of personal time off

Rationale:  The Personnel Committee has considered an amendment to the Employee Rules and Regulations regarding separation

Rationale:  The Personnel Committee has considered amendments to the Employee Rules and Regulations regarding timekeeping

Rationale:  The Mayor would like to appoint Connie Henke to fill vacancy left by Doug Mundt on the Library Board for a term of 7/1/2021.

The Council may take action to hear testimony in favor of or opposition to, discuss/limit discussion and take action to approve or disapprove any matter presented under this title. The Council may take action to waive the statutory rule requiring reading on three separate dates on any ordinance being considered. The Council may take action to pass and approve any matter presented under this title.

Rationale:  A resolution requesting highway closure and detour for the Saline County Fair Parade July 21, 2018

Rationale:  The Parks and Recreation Committee has considered a resolution naming the park donated by the Janet L. Brown Revocable Trust

Rationale: 

Reports may be given by Department Heads, Committees and Council members concerning current operations of the City. Questions may be asked and answered. No action can be taken by the Council on matters presented under this title except to answer any question posed and to refer the matter for further action.

Council will consider approval of the following items. Explanation may occur for each item and the council may approve and or amend and approve the items listed.

Rationale: 

The city council will review the above matters and take such actions as they deem appropriate. The city council may enter into closed session to discuss any matter on this agenda when it is determined by the council that it is clearly necessary for protection of the public interest or the prevention of needless injury to the reputation of an individual and if such and individual has not requested a public meeting, or as otherwise allowed by law. Any closed session shall be limited to the subject matter for which the closed session was called.
