Rationale:
Attendance of Council members will be recorded to determine the presence of a quorum for official actions. |

Rationale:

4.A. Public Hearing - Zoning Change Request - 6:05 PM
Rationale:
A hearing for the purpose of hearing opposition to and/ or support for the proposed zoning change as follows: Lot 11, Crete Industrial Park Addition from I-2 Heavy Industrial to C-3 Highway Commercial. The Planning Commission held a public hearing on September 23, 2013.

4.H. 2013 COPS Hiring Program Grant
Rationale:
The U.S. Department of Justice has awarded the City of Crete $122,405.00 over the next three years to partially fund a new police officer position (local match: $40,801). This grant to hire another officer will allow the Police Department to back-fill a more seasoned police officer who will be assigned as Crete’s School Resource Officer. The City is prepared to accept the grant and work with the Schools to fulfill necessary requirements.

8. Adjournment
Rationale:
The city council will review the above matters and take such actions as they deem appropriate. The city council may enter into closed session to discuss any matter on this agenda when it is determined by the council that it is clearly necessary for protection of the public interest or the prevention of needless injury to the reputation of an individual and if such and individual has not requested a public meeting, or as otherwise allowed by law. Any closed session shall be limited to the subject matter for which the closed session was called. If the motion to close passes, then the presiding officer immediately prior to the closed session shall restate on the record the limitation of the subject matter of the closed session. |
