2. Roll Call
Rationale:
Attendance of Committee members will be recorded to determine the presence of a quorum for official actions. |
3. Special Order of Business
Rationale:
The Committee may take action to hear testimony in favor of or in opposition to, discuss/limit discussion and take action to approve or disapprove a recommendation to the City Council on any matter presented under this title. |
3.A. SE Nebraska Emergency Communications
Rationale:
An interlocal agreement to do a study on regional emergency communications

3.B. LARM Training at Doane Facilities
Rationale:
An agreement with Doane to provide facilities for the LARM training

3.C. Power Cots and Lifters for Ambulance
Rationale:
The Fire Department would like purchase 2 new power cots for the 911 ambulances, and a power load system for transfer ambulance. An estimate for the package is around $53,000 for all of it.

3.D. Property Purchase for Fire Station Expansion
Rationale:
The Fire Department has been approached by the person who is handling the estate of 238 East 14th Street expressing a desire to sell it to the City for expansion of the fire station

3.E. Fire Station Fire Alarm System
Rationale:
The Fire Department has a quote from NECO to get the fire alarm system back up and running for $965

3.F. Mutual Finance Organization
Rationale:
The annual MFO agreement is due for consideration

4. Officers' Reports
Rationale:
Reports may be given by Department Heads, other Committees and Council members concerning current operations of the City. Questions may be asked and answered. No action can be taken by the Committee on matters presented under this title except to answer any question posed and to refer the matter for further action. |
5. Adjournment
Rationale:
The City Council Committee will review the above matters and take such actions as they deem appropriate. The Committee may enter into closed session to discuss any matter on this agenda when it is determined by the Committee that it is clearly necessary for protection of the public interest or the prevention of needless injury to the reputation of an individual and if such and individual has not requested a public meeting, or as otherwise allowed by law. Any closed session shall be limited to the subject matter for which the closed session was called. If the motion to close passes, then the presiding officer immediately prior to the closed session shall restate on the record the limitation of the subject matter of the closed session. |
