9. Elementary Principal's Report
Rationale:
Elementary Principal's Report September 8, 2016 The Standard Response Protocol Members of the Safety and Security Committee, Jan Weiss, Tammy Biesecker, and myself attended "The Standard Response Protocol" training at the ESU11. The training is being conducted for schools throughout the state in order to establish a common language for safety. The goal is to train students, staff, parents, and communities to use the SRP in their districts in order to provide students who travel to other schools or who are visitors in our school the safety knowledge needed to react in a situation away from their home district. The next step in this process is to train the safety and security committee consisting of members of administration, support staff, teaching staff and law enforcement then teachers, students and parents during this school year. For more information on the SRP click on this link http://http//iloveuguys.org/index.html Parent/Teacher Conference Service Project Members of the FCCLA and FFA chapter will be providing activities for children who come to conferences. This is a not only a great service project for the group but a service to support our families. Parent/teacher conferences will be held on September 22nd. Upcoming Events Farm Safety Day is scheduled for September 14th. The 1st grade will be traveling to Stuhr Museum on the 22nd. The 2nd grade will be participating in a distance learning field trip in their classroom through Morrill Hall in Lincoln on the 14th.
