Rationale:
National FFA Convention Four students will represent the chapter in the presentation of our Models of Innovation top 10 competition and receive our National Chapter 3-star award at the Thursday afternoon session. We will be taking two additional students and myself.

8.7. Consider and approve remaining technology purchases for 2016-17 school year
Rationale:
These items will complete the technology purchases for the 2016-2017 school year. Last May you approved a partial purchase of technology items. REAP money will pay $20,804. General Fund Budget of $1,731 will cover the rest of the bill. There may be a shipping charge on several items but most bids included shipping costs. Any shipping costs will be covered by General Fund dollars.

9. Elementary Principal's Report
Rationale:
Elementary Principal's Report October 10, 2016 Parent/Teacher Conferences We had a 96% turnout for elementary conferences this fall. The FCCLA had 24 children stop by the gym and participate in fun activities. Thank you to all the FCCLA members who worked to make this a successful event. Progressive Agricultural Days Students enjoyed another year of farm safety day on September 14, 2016. Students listened to a variety of speakers with topics on pet safety, grain safety, harvest safety, electrical safety, sun safety, and seatbelt safety. Mike Ingram shared his own personal experience after having a farm related injury a few years ago. The Franklin Elementary students and staff appreciate all the work that goes in to the organization of this event. We want to also thank our FFA members for their assistance and leadership with the younger students. Upcoming Events The 3rd graders will participate in "Raising Nebraska" field trip in Grand Island on October 19th. Elementary Honors is on the calendar for October 26th. The 4th graders and Kindergarten will both be on field trips on October 25th. The 4th graders will attend "Animals Inside and Out" in Minden. The Kindergarten will be traveling to Grandpa's Punkinberry Patch by Atlanta.
