Rationale:
Gregory Boettcher was selected as the elementary ACE Flyer for the month. He was nominated by his teacher, Mrs. Dreher. You do a great job following all of the Flyer Ace Expectations. You work hard and are respectful to everyone! Keep it up! Anthony Olson was selected as the ACE Flyer for the month. Anthony was nominated by his access teacher, Mrs. Cleveland. Anthony is a positive leader in our access class! He actively participates and contributes during discussion and sets a great example. Way to to, Anthony!

Rationale:
Each year at the January meeting, new officers are elected by the board members. This can be done by either voting verbally or secret ballot. The first position elected is the position of president. The president immediately assumes the position upon his or her election to the post. Board Policy 8130 is attached. |
8.3. Consider and approve selecting Greg Perry as legal counsel for Franklin Public Schools
Rationale:
Greg Perry is the current Attorney for FPS. He is very professional and works well with the Administration.

10. Elementary Principal's Report
Rationale:
Elementary Principal's Report January 2017 St. Jude's Math-a-thon The St. Jude's Mathathon will start on January 9th. This is a project we do annually in support of the children's hospital. Elementary Honors Elementary Honors is scheduled for Wednesday, January 11th at 3:00. I have attached the list of students achieving high honors 93% and above, honors achieving 90% and above and boosters for those who raised their grade point average from the 1st quarter to the 2nd quarter. Breakfast with Badges Students enjoyed a pie in the face game with our local police officers on Friday, January 6th. The students enjoyed homemade rolls made by Fah Bislow. We appreciate the support we receive from our local police officers, Greg Reddington, Sean Cadwell and Ed Brickman. THANK YOU Rose Bowl Theater! Thank you to the Rose Bowl Theater for the popcorn and drinks. The students enjoyed a movie on the 20th of December. A special thanks to Cindy and Whitney Rubendall who worked to prepare for the morning! Curriculum Review Thank you to the teachers who came in on December 28th to review curriculum samples in the areas of Math and Reading. Our current reading series, Treasures, will be no longer in print after this school year. We will be using our current essential standards to check for alignment of a new series.
