Background:  In March, the Board accepted a bid from Scott Peterson Motors for the purchase of a 15-passenger high tower van with all-wheel drive in the amount of $58,290.00. The van originally quoted is not in production. In January, the Board made a motion for an emergency waiver due to lack of inventory and availability, but did not approve the purchase of a van for $92,000.00. Currently, we are proposing the Board purchase a 12 passenger + driver + front passenger seat Class A Ford E350 similar to the current Scooper bus for a negotiated amount of $65,000.00. Business Manager, Brett Burditt is requesting authorization from the Board to purchase the latest proposed van detailed in the attached quote.
