Discussion:
Mayor Eickmeier announced that a copy of the Agenda for this meeting is posted on the north wall of the Municipal Building and copies are available on the north wall where a copy of the Open Meetings Act is also posted for public inspection. He also noted that any citizen wishing to address the Council should come to the podium, state their name and address and limit their comments to five minutes. All remarks should be directed to the Mayor/Chairperson, who will then determine who will make any appropriate response. The City of Seward reserves the right to adjust the order of items on this agenda if necessary and may elect to take action on any of the items listed.

Rationale:
This is an Open Meeting of the Seward Nebraska Governing Body. The City of Seward abides by the Nebraska Open Meetings Act in conducting business. A copy of the Nebraska Open Meetings Act is displayed on the north wall of this meeting room facility as required. Disclosure of meeting recording processes is posted in the Meeting Room. A participant sign-in sheet is available for use by any Citizen addressing the Council. Presenters shall approach the podium, state their name & address for the Clerk’s record and are asked to limit remarks to five minutes. All remarks shall be directed to the Mayor who shall determine by whom any appropriate response shall be made. The City of Seward reserves the right to adjust the order of items on this Agenda if necessary and may elect to take action on any of the items listed.

1. Consideration of a Claim from Erin Else, 1133 N Columbia Ave, for Personal Property Damage in the Amount of $1,500 - City Administrator Butcher

The City allows for the submital of claims for any citizen who feels the City is liable for damages caused by City operations. Claims may be considered by the Council at the discretion of the Mayor. The following claim was brought for consideration, with the claimant being informed as such. The Mayor may, at his discretion, allow the claimant to speak.

2. Consideration of a Request to Approve a Change of Location Request to 139 S 6th Street for Liquor License # IK-122441 for Brexi Properties, LLC (Sixth Street Cafe, formerly Cafe on the Square) - City Administrator Butcher

The currently named Cafe on the Square is in the process of remodeling the property at 139 S 6th Street and renaming as 'Sixth Street Cafe.' As such, the current liquor license will need to be amended to reflect this change. If approved, the State will be notified by City Administration.

3. Consideration of Seward County E911 Interlocal Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 - Seward County Commissioner Zabrocki

4. Consideration and Approval of Bid Documents for the 2024 Water Treatment Plant Reverse Osmosis Improvements Project and Authorize the City to Seek Bids - Water/Wastewater Director Koll

The City is currently planning an upgrade to the Water Treatment Plant to add a third skid to increase production capacity. The item for consideration is the bid package for equipment and installation. If approved, the bid will disbursed with a recommendation to come before Council at a later date.

6. Update on the Hwy 15 Construction Project - City Administrator Butcher

Discussion:
City Administrator Butcher will provide the latest updates to the Hwy 15 Reconstruction Project. Construction is projected to move to the east side of Phase 2 on Wednesday, June 5th. Phase 2, Hwy 15 - Bradford Street, is still projected to be completed prior to the 4th of July.
