1. Opening The Meeting:

1.1. Call to order: The 2026 Budget Hearing Meeting of the Centura Public Schools' Board of Education is called to order on Monday, September 14th, at 5:30 P.M. in the Board Room, 201 Highway 11, Cairo, NE 68824. The public notice for this meeting was published on the Centura Public Schools district website (www.centuraps.org) as per Centura Board of Education Policy #2008.

1.2. Roll Call of Board Members:

1.2.1. Motion to excuse or not excuse absent Board Members.

1.3. Centura Vision Statement: A Community About Students, Excellence and Innovation!

1.4. Centura Mission Statement: Centura and its collaborative partners are an innovative community empowering all students to be successful today and in the future. 

2. Approval of the Agenda.

3. Action Items: 

3.1. Discuss, consider, and take all action necessary to record in the board minutes that the 2026-2027 Budget Hearing Notice was published in the September 9, 2026 edition of the Phonograph Herald and on the Centura Public Schools District website. 

4. Discussion Items:

4.1. Recognition of visitors for public comment. All visitors requesting to address the board must sign in. 

4.2. Hear support, opposition, criticism, suggestions or observations from taxpayers relating to the proposed 2026-2027 Centura Public School Budget.
