Fund Raising: Sally will be here to review fund raising and summer camp procedures. All fund raising and summer camps must be approved by administration.
APL Workshop: Scheduled for 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM on April 26th and 27th. Total of 140 participants. This workshop is for teachers and administrators. Staff not returning are expected to work in their rooms or take PTO.
Board Committee Meetings: Scheduled for Monday, May 2nd. We must have our responses to the top 15 items on the strategic planning list. These will be reviewed on May 2nd and approved at the May 9th board meeting.
Support Staff Meetings: Maintenance - Wednesday, Food Service Thursday, and Support Staff (Para-Educators and Administrative Assistants) Friday.
Support Staff Contracts: Support staff contracts will be printed and reviewed today. These contracts will be in your Office on Monday. These will need to be distributed and back to your office by Monday, May 2nd.
Extra-Duty Assignments: Mr. Grammer, Darin Kovar, and Mrs. Egr are completing their recommendations for extra-duty assignments for the 2016-17 school year. These assignments include all building assignments by principals. We will review these recommendations and discuss any concerns and/or suggestions for improvements at our May 2nd board committee meeting. Extra-duty contracts will be approved by the board at the May 9th board meeting.
Fred Arnold Track Meet and Professional Development Plans: The high school track meet is scheduled for Thursday, April 21st. Thursday, for those not working the track meet or attending NETA and Friday are scheduled times for professional development. We need to make sure we use this time wisely and with relevance.
2016-17 Program and Staffing changes: Update on 2016-17 programs and staffing changes.
SMS Assistant Principal Interviews: We conducted the first interview on Friday, April 15th. We have 3 scheduled today at 2, 4, and 6. Two scheduled for Wednesday at 4 and 6. All administrators are invited to participate in these interviews.
2016-17 Handbook Changes: Begin working with your staff on handbook updates and changes for the 2016-17 school year. These must be ready for board approval in June. Any changes to your handbook to coincide with changes from this legislative session or new policy adoption will need to happen in July, due to the 90 day session.
New Hire Recommendations: I have contracts for all new teachers completed and distributed to your office. If you need any additional contracts, please let me know.
Insurance Coverage: If your building is involved in a field trip or event that involves inflatables or you have signed a contract for a special event, the insurance company needs to be informed. If you have any questions, please contact Agri-City at (402) 352-2483.
