I. Discussion Topics
Rationale:
1. Student Check-In System: We reviewed the Computer Check-In system and discussed the possibility of working with principals to deploy this system in their buildings.
2. Webpage Development: Kerri Jo and Jeff said they were looking at changing a template to allow us to be able to be able to arrange our webpages to be more user friendly. They decided on a new format but would not move to it until fully developed. 3. Technology Support Staffing: At the end of the 2012-13 school year Dawn Prescott moved back to the classroom full-time leaving us with no person responsible for developing the website. We discussed possible ways to dedicate some time to our website with our current staff and the possible need to hire additional help in the tech area. Kerri Jo asked to be considered for the webpage development. 4. Technology Curriculum: We discussed the need to adopt and implement a K-12 technology curriculum with vertical and horizontal alignment. This will help our staff understand the programs and skills our students would be expected to have mastered at each level, so they would have a better understanding of how they could use technology in their classes. |
