I. November District-Level Meeting Schedule
Rationale:
Please review the meetings scheduled for November on the board/committee meeting site. Also, please let your staff know as they do not have access to see anything that is not published.

II. Electronic Grade Reports
Rationale:
At the tech meeting, we visited about the question of students printing, parent access to grades, etc... Below is the response/question from Jeff and Kerri Jo.
* Parent Teachers Conferences - I believe Dr. Hoesing has shared ideas with you concerning a differ approach for our teachers at Parent Teachers conferences. For example, teachers could help parents learn how to navigate the Parent Portal. I would first need to help train the teachers but I do not see this as a problem. Let me know if you would like me to pursue this idea. |

III. Infinite Campus Parent Portal
Rationale:
At our tech meeting we discussed the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Below is the response/question from Jeff and Kerri Jo.
* Infinite Campus Parent Portal - FYI, Bill and Dar at SES have requested Kim and I put together a packet to send home to every parent concerning opening a Parent Portal account. The packet will have a short form that needs to be filled out by the parent and returned back to school. This form will allow Kim and/or I to create the Parent account in Infinite Campus. Once the parent(s) have their account setup, they will be able to access their children's grades, lunch balance, etc.. from the portal via the web site and/or the app. Do we want to send this packet home to Middle, High, and rural school parents? |

IV. School Check-In Update
Rationale:
At our tech meeting on Friday we visited about the school check-in software program. See the response/question from Jeff and Kerri Jo.
* Visitor Pass software: I'm at home while composing this email and can't remember the name of the company that Dr. Hoesing has worked with concerning visitor pass computer program for each building. The software is actually web based meaning visitors in your building would check in and out from a computer/iPad located in the office. This software also does many other things like printing name tags for field trips, teacher check in/out during the school day, back ground checks on volunteers, etc...Are you interested in having something like this in your building? Would your Admin Assistants in your front office like this? If there's enough interest, I will pursue a quote. |

VI. Discussion on Strategic Planning Format
Rationale:
Mr Gibbons and I met with Marcia Herring from NASB on the format for our district strategic planning meeting. Due to a possible conflict with elementary concerts at Richland and/or 24-R, we asked the board to consider a few other dates. We will begin discussion on our planning and question development for this process at the meeting.
