I. November Discussion Items
Rationale:
Meeting Attendees: Dr. Hoesing, Ron Mundil (meeting conflicted with Veteran's Day Programs)
Mrs. Egr Request: 1. First and absolutely important - I want to praise the maintenance staff for their work in the last couple of weeks. I know that we have staff working in areas that are new to them and there has been a seamless transition. I know our maintenance staff feels the stress. The coaches/sponsors and myself want you to know that you are appreciated! 2. As we move forward into winter athletics, please let me know what help is needed. I will make a conscience effort to list more items on my "line up" for games to help with communication. Meeting Items: 1. Leaks in SES roof? Guaranteed Roofing was here within the last month. We still had some leaks during the rain on Tuesday. The staff has been working on fixing spots they found. A-1 was here to work on the areas around the roof-top units to resolve the issues. Guaranteed roofing was here 3 weeks ago to repair roofs. Our staff has been working on the area where the new addition meets the older building. As of last rain we still may have the following leaks: 1. Where the new and old building come together on north side of lunchroom
2. 4th grade hallway outside Deb Schueths( Rm. 215) east door
3. North lunchroom doors. Water comes over threshold
4. Rachel Woods room (184) above Promethian board projector
5. Wall in lunchroom around doors that go into gym
6. South hallway by maintenance room
2. Walk-In Cooler: Pegler-Sysco are working on sealing the areas around the walk-in coolers. We are currently experiencing condensation and that moisture creates mold on the surfaces. The custodians have done a great job of controlling the mold in the meantime. 3. Playground Equipment: The bid from Cramer Distributing for playground rubber is $5.05. The total bid for the rubber and shipping is 11,625. The DEQ reimbursement grant will be written in the is for half of the total cost of the material and shipping. We also need to purchase rubber mulch for the rural school playgrounds to be put down in the spring. We will include total cost in our grant proposal. 4. Clocks: We are in the process of replacing clocks on the high school building. We will do 20 clocks at the high school and take the outdated clocks and replace those at the middle school building that are in need of repair. The middle school will need to install a new system in order for us to use the new clocks on that system. Discussion for future decisions. |
