Outstanding Staff Awards: Nominations for Outstanding Employees for 2nd Quarter have been submitted. The selected staff members (Para-Educator, Support Staff, Teacher) will be awarded at 8:00 on Monday, January 18th at the district office. 2. Health Screens: Carol Reha has organized health screens again on the morning of the strategic planning meeting, January 18th. The workshops are setup to allow individuals to leave for their screen, and return to the professional development workshops. 3. Early Retirement Eligibility: I sent you the updated list of eligible teachers for the early retirement program. Penny will follow up with those teachers on the list. Because this is a new policy, I am not sure the board will honor partial applications, but, teachers partially meeting the requirements may still apply. 4. 2021-22 Calendar Discussion: Dr. Gibbons created a draft calendar for the 2021-22 school year with corresponding dates to the 2020-21 calendar. I forwarded this calendar to the SEA in December. 5. School Safety/Security Assessment Report: School Security Services will be here on Monday, January 18th to begin our annual Safety Review. Ron Mundil will be working with you and/or custodial staff in the near future on items to be addressed at each building. Items of concern include security of buildings, items stored above 6 feet, extension cords, blocked fire doors or items in front of breaker/electrical boxes. Please walk though your buildings this week and take care of these items. 6. 2021-22 Teacher/Program Needs: Staffing/program changes for 2021-22 will need to be completed and submitted to me by February 1st. Please focus on your teacher needs at this time. We will address support staff needs by March 1st. 7. Support Staff Monthly Meetings: I will schedule the support staff, maintenance/custodial, food service, and SEA Rep. meetings during the workshop times on January 28-19. 8. Principals/Director Salary Considerations: The board of education will be acting on administrators 2021-22 salaries in January and will take formal action on your contracts in February. I completed the array comparability study and sent it to you prior to Christmas break. The board committee has this information and will meet in January to discuss their recommendations. 9. January Board Meeting Review: Review of board meeting agenda for tonight. |
