I. Discussion Items
Rationale:
1. Administrators reviewed highlights from our Friday Workshop. We discussed next steps in the implementation of strategies learned at the workshop. We agreed to individual and possibly building level strategies, but no district level at this time. Mr. Gibbons will send out the workshop slides from the workshop.
2. 2014-15 Calendar Proposal: We will present the draft to be presented to the teachers and planning committee of the board of education prior to board adoption in March. 3. Technology: We have offered a contract. The applicant will not be able to begin until this summer. We may want to have a technology meeting with Mr. Droge to discuss our plans for the remainder of the 2013-14 school year. 4. FileMaker Programs: We have ordered the filemaker server and will be ready for teacher requisitions/inventory by March 1st. 5. 2014-15 Programs/Planning: At this point, you will need to begin staffing your present programs for the 2014-15 school year. Once present offerings are covered, we will begin working on program changes and additions. We are kind of behind the 8-ball until we get the strategic plan completed for the upcoming school year, but you can begin planning. 6. Buildings and Grounds: Buildings Principals, I will send you a form to begin listing your building needs by room, gymnasium, hall, storage, etc... Once entered into the program, I will upload it to the filemaker program and we will begin working on prioritizing the needs of each building. The NorthWard building and the vestibules at the elementary may be priorities along with lighting in the high school east gym and middle school gyms. In addition, we will be looking at addressing the parking and traffic flow around the elementary building. 7. Summer School: As discussed earlier, we will be holding summer school at the middle school this summer. The middle school is a central location for both programs and food service. In addition, with the anticipated work on the elementary building and possible access issues, it makes sense that we coordinate our summer school at one location. |
