STRAT Team Meeting 1. Discuss 2021-22 meeting calendar for Leadership Team and SAA 2. Review Return-to-Learn Protocols for the 2021-22 school year 3. Review ESSERS III Requirements 4. Review Newspaper School Opening Advertisement 5. Discuss Options for Public Input on Return-to-Learn and ESSERS III priorities 6. Discuss Staff Meeting Schedule for Opening Week of School 7. Book Review: Scaling Conversations 8. Discussion topics from the floor SAA Meeting 1. District/Activity Signature Cards: Directors will need to sign the signature cards for district accounts. AD's will sign the signature cards for the activity fund. 2. Activity Account Management: Each of us will be assigned to supervision of school activities. If you are the one in charge of the activity, this involves managing the gate and concession money following the event. Sally will attend our meeting prior to the start of our activity season to review the money box process for activities. 3. Support Staff Program Review: Food Service, Custodial, para-educators, etc... Discussion on the principals' role in managing the staff and these programs in your building. Ron Mundil and Jamie Ramirez are the directors of these programs, but administrators are responsible for the programs and staff in your building. Mr. Gibbons will also work with you on meeting your support staff workman's comp. and safety requirements for the 2021-22 school year. 4. New Hires: Please make sure your new employees sign and return the contracts. We will open the new school year short 3 food service employees to start unless we get some applicants in the pool prior to the start of school. Do we have any other support staff positions open at this time? 6. Field Trips: If we remain in Level IV, we will support field trips in the elementary, usually, one per year per class unless included in a grant, activity, etc... 7. PLC Update: Dr. Gibbons will lead the discussion on PLC's in each building.8. iObservation: Dr. Gibbons will lead discussion on the iObservation Configuration for 2021-22. 9. Student Fees: All students in grades 6-12 are required to purchase an activity pass for $10. Because this is a required fee, they may apply for a waiver if they are on free or reduced lunch status. All activity pass fees must be collected or waived by Labor Day. All other student fees are subject to administrative approval. If you approve a fee, you must post it and report fees collected and waived at the end of the school year. 10. Identification Badges: ALL staff are to wear identification badges. Custodians have required clothing that identifies them. 11. Professional Dress: All staff are required to dress professionally. "Blue Jeans" days may be done as fund raisers, but on a limited basis and must be approved by the building administrator. 12. Rural School Mileage: If employees are scheduled to work in town and at a rural school, they are eligible for school provided transportation or mileage for scheduled days. If they go out more than scheduled, they are on their own. Mileage reimbursement must be submitted monthly on the Voucher System and approved by the employee's supervisor. If done on a consistent basis, we will consider using a school vehicle. Round Trip Mileage: Town to Fisher's: 11 Miles Town to Richland: 20 Miles Fisher's to Richland: 15 Miles 13. Rural School JH Activity Transportation: We will provide transportation again this year for students participating in JH activities. Richland students will ride the bus, Fisher's school will ride the van. 14. Bus Routes: We will provide busing from the Trailer Park this year as well as neighborhood school pickups. We will also continue to provide busing to Richland. 15. Food Service Program: We will be providing a regular breakfast program from 7:30 to 8:00 AM. We will continue to need clerical assistance from other support staff during the food service times. Please make sure you have adequate supervision assigned during breakfast and lunch service. Administrators may assist in overseeing the program, but not scheduled as one of the supervisors. Jamie will be visiting with building principals about the possibility of Grab-n-Go and a workable schedule for this program. 16. Scheduled Workshops for the Week of August 2-August 6: Discussion on the coordination of workshops scheduled for this week. 17. Staff Opening Meeting: The All Staff Opening Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 10th. Discussion on additional district-wide topics that need to be added to the agenda. 18. Staff Requisitions: Please contact Sally by email (sally.jakub@schuylercommunityschools.org) if you are missing requested items. 19. Building Maintenance: Please walk your building and let me know of unfinished items that need attention. I will work with Ronnie on the priority of identified needs. Once we complete summer projects or changes in your buildings, you may put fix-it items in the portal. 20. SAA Meeting Times: Discussion on SAA Meeting times for 2021-22 school year. We are currently scheduled to meet on Monday each week at 9:00, unless schedule conflicts arise. Please make sure you keep this time open each week. 21. 403B Elective and Non-Elective Contributions: All employees have the option of participating in a 403B Elective contribution. Administrators have the option to participate in a non-elective 403B Program. See Penny if you have any questions about either contribution. 22. Filemaker Portal: The filemaker portal supports district-wide programs. (Requisitions, Inventory, Curriculum/Textbooks/Standards, Vouchers and Purchase Orders, Technology, Building/Grounds, Transportation/Vehicle/Large Equipment Request/Replacement Cycle) 23. Fund Raising: As in most schools, fund raising happens! However, ALL fund raising must be approved by the building administration prior to initiating the project. Please let your colleagues know of any fund raising in your building so that the staff/community is not overwhelmed by the number of requests at the same time. Please make sure you review the request and the yield or percentage of profit we keep for our programs. You will hear "We have always done it this way". Not True! 24. School Board Meeting: The board of education will meet at 6:00 this evening. They expect all administrators to attend the meeting (Meet and Greet). They may also have questions or want discussion on the agenda items concerning the start of school, Return to Learn, ESSERS III, Thoughtexchange, etc... We will have a small supper for you and the board members. 25. Administration Payroll: Your first paycheck for 2021-22 is August 20th. You must have payroll information and withholding to Penny by August 6th. 26. Administrator Days: You have rooms for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We have reservations at Candlewood Suites. Please sign up for your room. If you are not staying, you must cancel your own room. 27. DISCUSSION ITEMS OF INTEREST!
